As a guide for the rod width hang the panels just to the outside edges of the windows so that you can benefit from all the natural light flooding through the windows. Have all curtains end at the same length. I used a custom corner rod that extends on both walls. For small size windows this is a very interesting combination. I just didnt want it to look too awful to have different length drapes even though it would be a room few people would ever see since it is upstairs. Now i think i have decided to put the bed someplace else and now there is nothing blocking those windows so i can make drapes for all windows the same. For a window that s a bit narrower than the rest use curtain panels that match the width of the other windows to make it look like they re all the same size. By using the same width shade on each window it is wide enough to cover the two wider windows but it makes the the narrow windows look as if they are wider than they are. The picture shows a mix of roman blind and pinch pleat curtains in the same room both made using the same fabric.

Even a very small decorative touch can tie together two very disparate window treatments in the same room a pom pom trim a coloured edging or applied braid.
